How can UX be used to develop company values?

After a recent re-work of our internal company mission statement and accompanying values, we discuss how taking a UX approach affected the outcome of this exercise, and why UX thinking can be so powerful for complex problem solving. We also discuss the broader concept of company culture and how it is played out in the workplace.
